Exhibitions and Events

In the heart of Perugia, the exhibition “San Francesco. Nostro contemporaneo”, hosted at Palazzo Baldeschi, will be open to the public until November 2026. The exhibition brings into dialogue masterpieces by Burri, Pistoletto, Penone, Abramović, and other major contemporary artists, in a journey exploring the connection between modern art and Franciscan spirituality, on the occasion of the 800th anniversary.

The Galleria Nazionale dell’Umbria also presents a major exhibition dedicated to St. Francis, titled “Giotto and St. Francis. A Revolution in 14th Century Umbria”, focused on the relationship between art and medieval spirituality. A cultural project of international relevance in the heart of the city.

At the end of June, the festival season begins with the Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto, running from 26 June to 12 July 2026. One of Europe’s most prestigious cultural events, it offers every year a rich programme of music, dance, and theatre of international scope.

Following this, from 3 to 12 July 2026, Perugia hosts Umbria Jazz, the most important jazz festival in Italy. The city transforms into a widespread stage across squares, theatres, and clubs, featuring world-renowned artists and a unique atmosphere throughout the historic centre.
